Nordstrom is the latest in a string of retailers offering steep discounts online prior to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales with its Holiday Deals Event. And unlike some other stores, Nordstrom usually has actually-nice and in-season items on sale during these kinds of events (not just out-of-style stock they’re hoping to get rid of or swimwear you won’t get to wear until next season). We’ve extensively covered Nordstrom’s biggest sales in the past and are bringing that expertise to sniff out our favorite finds — from apparel to beauty to home décor — among the over 15,000 discounted products.
Nordstrom’s Holiday Deals Event runs through November 29, so you still have plenty of time to shop — but we still recommend that you don’t dillydally if you see something you like. Sizes and colors do sometimes sell out. Scroll down to see all of our picks, so far, or use the links below to jump to the category that you’re most interested in.

A rare find: Several Céline sunglasses can be found in Nordstrom’s clearance bin. (Just note that the discounted price will only show once you add to your shopping bag.)

This layerable scoop-neck sweater has some elegant rib detailing.

An easy-to-layer, long-sleeve tee for just $17.

Our all-time favorite bra is 40 percent off (in select colors). It’s consistently a top seller with Strategist readers; writer Molly Lamoureux even calls it “the unicorn of undergarments” for its comfort and support.

Some extra-wide flares to flaunt at yoga class.

You can always find a pair of Zella leggings in Nordstrom’s sales bins, and they’re always a good deal since they last for years.

These extremely fuzzy slippers will make wintertime more fun.

A cute matching pajama set would make a nice gift for a sister since there are 11 fun patterns to choose from.

A few pairs of shoes from Dr. Martens are on sale in white if you’re over basic black.

Open Edit’s wide-leg pants are perfect for yoga class or just lounging around the house.

A pair of rust-colored flats from Eileen Fisher that we’re sure no one will guess are from Eileen Fisher.

If you love a chunky heel, these made-for-stomping Chelsea boots are half off.

You can’t go wrong with a good pair of Wedgies in a light wash.

And here’s another denim staple: A slightly distressed jacket that would look nice layered over a hoodie.

Small sterling-silver hoops with a twist — literally.

These very tall platform sneakers from Keds will ramp up any outfit.

These are sort of over-the-top, but we love them — especially in the lime green.

And a three-pack of no-show socks for a cute and practical stocking stuffer.

Here are some puffy slides that are sturdy enough for trekking through rain puddles.

If you prefer some breathability, our favorite men’s slides are just $40. Canoe Club co-founder Timothy Grindle is a fan, saying that they “feel substantial enough to run errands in and they are truly like walking on clouds.”

This Theory polo is a nice gift for your recently retired dad, who can’t quite quit the button-ups.

These go-with-everything joggers are just $18.

These cushy running shoes are from Brooks, a brand loved by Strategist staffers and pro runners alike. (They’re also available in women’s sizes.)

Here’s a luxe Advent calendar that has 12 nice-smelling candles from Voluspa’s Japonica collection. Bonus: The jars can be reused to store everything from cotton swabs to pocket change.

Los Angeles–based Compartés makes chocolate bars with bright, graphic, near-psychedelic packaging — and its Advent calendar is no different.

Some half-off sateen sheets in a sweet peony pink shade.

Stemless is in right now. These are trendy but practical. They’re dishwasher-safe and break-resistant — in case a guest has butterfingers.

By now, you may have Great Jones’s Dutch oven perched on cool people’s stovetops across your social-media feeds. It’s 40 percent off in a punchy red hue, which is even cheaper than the sale happening on the brand’s own site right now.

Nordstrom is price-matching Our Place’s early Black Friday sale. For someone you really like — and hey, that can be yourself — the do-everything Always Pan is just $95.

For a heritage piece that will definitely become an heirloom, Le Creuset’s iconic deep Dutch ovens are 34 percent off in 11 colors.

A puffy jacket in a cheerful teal that’s machine-washable and just $25.

A faux-fur jacket that will make a new baby even more cuddly, complete with little bear ears attached to the hood.
